Head of Liberty - Original Watercolor
$99.00
The circular area of the image is 8 inches in diameter. It ships unframed (but protected) in a flat reinforced envelope.
Inspired by the front face of the silver 1921 Peace Dollar, this watercolor depicts Lady Liberty wearing a golden crown of light. In my interpretation, her hair is bright red, her skin is fair, and her eyes are blue - a play on the patriotic theme of "red, white and blue."
I was inspired to paint this because I thought the original coin seemed to show a woman in the grip of some strong emotion, which raises the question: what strong emotion would Lady Liberty feel if she saw America today?

Into Egypt - Canvas Print
from $195.00
The Story of the Holy Family's Flight Into Egyptfrom the Gospel of MatthewAnd when [the Magi] were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him."When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt have I called my son."Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.A Modern Interpretation of the Holy FamilyThis painting is as much about our times as it is about ancient times. It shows the strength of a family who follows the guidance of the Lord, beginning with the patriarch Joseph who extends his protection to his wife and newborn son. Sometimes the world seems dark and frightening, but we must keep our hope alive and be courageous.

Liberty in Humility II - Original Pencil Drawing
$99.00
This is an original graphite (pencil) illustration on archival drawing paper.
The circular area of the image is 8 inches in diameter. It ships unframed (but protected) in a flat reinforced envelope.
This is part of a series called "King in Winter and Other Stories" which I began in the winter of 2023-24. The idea for this study is that Liberty is wearing a veil to signify humility, and a broken chain to symbolize freedom.

A Modern Painting of the Resurrection of Jesusfrom 1 Peter:For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For,“All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field;the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.”An Expression of the Power of Spiritual RebirthMost Christians have heard the phrase "born again" so many times that it becomes an overused phrase, like a dull knife. In this painting of the resurrection of Christ, my goal was to express the power of life bursting through the jaws of Death.

from 1 Peter:

An Expression of the Power of Spiritual Rebirth
Most Christians have heard the phrase "born again" so many times that it becomes an overused phrase, like a dull knife.
In this painting of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, my goal was to express the profound spiritual power of Life bursting through the jaws of Death. I did this by showing the interior of the barren tomb but cutting away one wall so you can see the fields beyond.
I've also shown a grapevine bursting back into life after the cold of winter, and the delicate sprouts of new growth in the plowed fields.
I made this picture because I'm tired of empty modern art. I believe art should mean something, and by buying this print, you'll be supporting a revitalization and rebirth of American art that speaks to who you are as a Christian believer.

Retvrn to Christ - Fine Art Poster - Black
$39.00
Fine-art poster on acid-free paper. 12 in. x 16 in. including black areas. Ships unframed and rolled in a tube.
A Modern Painting of Lady Liberty
from Galatians 5:1
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”"
What Can We Do to Save America?
If you watch the news, you can see that the world is changing rapidly. We seem to be sliding downhill into something terrible. Many people offer solutions, but I believe that there is only one true solution: we must turn away from our sins and return to Christ.
This painting was inspired by the well-known Walking Liberty coin, which was first released as a silver half-dollar. However, I've changed many elements in the coin, so that Liberty is turning away from sin and reaching toward the morning star which symbolizes Christ.
Her hair is loose, symbolizing repentance; and her feet are bare, symbolizing humility. Instead of the laurel and oak in the original coin (which symbolized victory in peace and war) she carries iris and rue. Rue refers to repentance, while iris represents wisdom, faith and true valor.
There are many other symbols included in this image, which makes it enjoyable to contemplate at home.

Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Unique Christian Wall Art
I still remember when a friend of mine said, "I can walk into someone's home and tell right away if they're a Christian."
Of course, it's not just about choosing Christian wall art, but also about how we welcome people into our lives, and how we use our homes and our lives as a witness to the power of the Gospel.
The purpose of my art is to help you express who you truly are, and to uplift you, your family and your friends every time one of you walks in your front door.
