An Expression of the Power of Spiritual Rebirth

Most Christians have heard the phrase "born again" so many times that it becomes an overused phrase, like a dull knife.

In this painting of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, my goal was to express the profound spiritual power of Life bursting through the jaws of Death. I did this by showing the interior of the barren tomb but cutting away one wall so you can see the fields beyond.

I've also shown a grapevine bursting back into life after the cold of winter, and the delicate sprouts of new growth in the plowed fields.

I made this picture because I'm tired of empty modern art. I believe art should mean something, and by buying this print, you'll be supporting a revitalization and rebirth of American art that speaks to who you are as a Christian believer.
